Pune-Mumbai expressway passes through the Western Ghats. In rainy season, the whole terrain is lush green and travelling on the route is an experience in itself. This has been a never-ending source of attraction for travelers, nature lovers and the photographers.I have put some of the good-kind of photographs which I took from Sony-Ericsson mobile phone. I have taken these from a moving vehicle by a mobile, so some noise is there in one or two photographs. Plus, one of the photos has earlier appeared on this blog.

Konkan is eternal source of beauty in its most rustic and virgin form. I took this photo on a cool morning on my trip to Konkan last year. A quote about war says that the luckiest generals are luckier only for 5 more minutes. I think photography requires same kind of luck. I waited for the bird to come near waves for a very long time – and it paid. The morning was not a clear one. So, some editing and cropping did rest of the job.

I have been visiting Nanded (Maharashtra, India) fairly often as it was a place where a lot of close relatives reside. However, it was in 2009 that I visited the world-famous land mark in Naded – Sachkhand Gurudwara for the first time. The 10th Guru of Sikhs, Guru Govindsinhji spent last years of his life in Naded, and it is in his memory the beautiful structure of Gurudwara has been erected. Last year, 1,200,000 sikh devotees from all over the world visited Nanded to commemorate ‘Guru ta Gaddi’.
When I entered the sanctum sanctorum of Sachkhand Gurudwara, the first thing that struck me was the literal glitter of gold. I have tried to capture here the holy, pious nature of everything that was in the gurudwara and also the glitter.
